  In the late 1970s and early1980s, Deng Xiaoping made many important points about history of the People’s Republic of China before reform and opening up.These points guided the resolution and topic report of the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, the Speech ofThirty Anniversary of National Day by Ye Jianying,and the drafting of on Certain Questions of the Party Since the Founding of the NewChina.It promoted to set things to right in ideology and theory,and also deeply replied the question of “what socialism is and how tobuild it.”All of this laid a solid idealistic foundation for the form of Deng Xiaoping theory.
