Source: Studies on Marxism ,2013.No.2      Release time: 2013-08-08
The two principal contradictions of contemporary world are the contradictions between imperialism and the third world, and capitalism and socialism. In these two principal contradictions, the western countries play a leading role up to now. But the situation is changing. The status and strength of both sides are changing, that is to say, the dominant status and leading role of the West is rotting from the root and become unstable. The Third World unites and fights together according to the new situation and the socialist tendency emerges. During the low tide of the world socialism since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the restoration of the old system and difficulties of the cause of socialism have taught people good lessons to be incorporated in historical textbooks and impelled socialism to develop towards a healthier direction. Despite the various kinds of restorations and complications, the world should be, is becoming and is doomed to be a world of the people themselves.
