On the relationship between Chinese thought and Western thought and culture, the “second combination” deconstructs the “apprentice state” of Chinese theory to Western theory, advocates cultural subjectivity, and constructs Chinese theory and Chinese discourse; In terms of the relationship between China and Marxism, the “second combination”, on the premise of recognizing that Marxism has profoundly changed China, has more prominently highlighted Chinese practice and Chinese culture, and greatly enriched and developed Marxism.
