Wang Ximan,Gong Xiaozhong: The Content,Characteristics and Functions of the Practice of the International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties

  After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the drastic changes in Eastern Europe,the International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP),as the representative form of international solidarity and cooperation in the international communist movement, has functioned to strengthen the propagation of Marxist theories while coordinating joint actions of the Communist Parties and the Workers’ Parties in different countries to oppose capitalism and imperialism and strive for democracy, justice and socialism. This represents its practical orientation and the class nature of its objectives, the diversity of its practice in both content and form, and the coordination between its practical ideas and actions. Therefore, it is of great significance in promoting the dissemination of Marxist theories and advancing the development of international communist movement.
