In the process of elaborating the Marxist concept of integrated innovation culture, Fang Keli formally proposed the theory of “Marxism as the spirit, Chinese tradition as the basic structure and Western knowledge as the instrument”. “Marxism as the spirit” refers to the dominant position of Marxism in the construction of the new socialist culture: “Chinese tradition as the basic structure refers to the subjectivity of national culture, which is the main position of Chinese culture; “Western knowledge as the instrument reflects the open attitude of the construction of the new Chinese culture.The theory of Chinese path to modernization synthesizes cultural resources from three aspects: the excellent Chinese traditional culture, the excellent foreign civilization and Marxism, and highlights the Party’s cultural construction guidelines. Using this theory.we can clarify the relationship between the “soul”, “body” and “application” of the three resources in the integration of the theory of Chinese path to modernization, and promote the discourse system of Chinese path to modernization.
