The academic and theoretical circles have carried out multi-level, all-around research and have made fruitful achievements on the ideological origin, main connotation, original contribution,explicit characteristics, and practical application of the world view and methodology of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and this will be helpful for lifting up the understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to the level of philosophy. However, there are still some defects in these studies, and the core concepts, vision, content, and quality of research need to be further explicitly defined, expanded, deepened and improved. For the future research, the academic circle should clearly define the core concepts to establish the scientific connotation of world view and methodology; expand the vision of research to construct Xi Jinping’s philosophical view; deepen the content of research to create a new frontier of Marxist philosophy in contemporary China; and improve the quality of research and apply the scientific world view and methodology into the practice.
