The important lessons of the demise of the Soviet Union and CPSU tells us that the self-building of a big party is not only related to its own existence, but also has a bearing on the future and destiny of the country, the people, and even the whole mankind. The belief, conviction, theoretical attainment, outlook on life and values of a party leader is directly related to the success or failure of the great cause of socialism. The lack of consciousness, correct understanding and firmness of the party in ideology, theory or politics is bound to lead the party and the country to a wrong or even evil path. The fundamental, basic, and important systems that embody the will of the people must be incorporated into the constitution and laws and specific practice of socialist countries; Only by adhering to the lofty ideal of communism and strengthening the belief in the victory of socialism can the party maintain its cohesion and strength, while giving up the guiding position of Marxism and abandoning the principles of scientific socialism will inevitably lead to consequences of the change of banner and the demise of the party and the country. In the face of attacks by enemies in and outside the country, we must always maintain the party’s revolutionary, advanced, and pure nature; we must attach great importance to ideological work, and remain vigilant against and resist and promptly counterattack all kinds of non-Marxist or anti-Marxist ideological trends, and always maintain the party’s revolutionary, advanced, and pure nature; we must unswervingly uphold the party’s absolute leadership over the armed forces, and should never give up on this point and become the prey of the reactionary forces; we must remain highly vigilant and effectively guard against the Western strategy of peaceful evolution, and resolutely win the “war without the smoke of gunpowder”.
