In the new era, the Party’s discipline construction has witnessed many new viewpoints, new assertions,and new lines of thinking in accordance with the new orientation of the times, as well as the carrying out of innovative development in many aspects in practice. The Party’s innovation in discipline construction in the new era contains profound internal logic. From the perspective of theory, the innovation in the Party’s discipline construction is based on the absorption of the traditional idea of “nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards”, and the adherence to the basic idea of “innovation is the driving force of development”; from the perspective of history, the Party’s innovation in discipline construction is an inheritance of the fine tradition of “strengthening discipline leads to successful revolution”, and draws on the lessons from domestic and foreign party discipline construction; from a realistic perspective, the Party’s innovation in discipline construction has effectively dealt with such new problems as “difficulty in implementing principles and disciplines” within the Party, better practiced the Party’s “original aspiration”and “mission”, successfully responded to “profound changes unseen in the world in a century”, and scientifically solved the worldwide problem of governance.
