The socialist development all over the world has been severely frustrated in the aftermath of Cold War. However, the history has far from terminated and “peace and development” is still the theme of the age. Chinese socialism faced numerous difficulties in key times,made progress and continually realized historical achievements through reform and opening-up and socialist modernization.As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered new ages, we should further uphold the stance centered by interests of people, working for people, relying on people as well as benefiting people and continually promote social equality and justice.We should neither take on backward and rigid path nor choose the wrong way to counter with the authority. Instead, we should systematically reply to the issues in terms of theory and practice-what kind of Chinese socialism we shall develop and stick to, how we shall uphold and develop Chinese socialism-effectively work out challenges against worldwide socialism, and contribute Chinese approach for exploring better institution for humans. Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era is on the way to deepening reform and opening-up with steady steps.Based on great experience from reform and opening-up, we shall break through rapids and setbacks, remove stubborn miasma, and make new contributions to the socialist development all over the world through promoting the modernization of socialist national governance by the means of institutional construction.
