After setting Marxism as his lifelong belief, Mao Zedong clearly defined his popular sovereignty ideology of Marxism. After setting up people’power nationwide, he made continuous efforts in maintaining the rights of people’power and the purity of popular sovereignty. He thought that maintaining and developing the blood-and-flesh relationship between the CPC and the people was vital to the prosperity of the CPC and China. He closely combined the anti-corrosion policies defined in the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Central Committee with the struggles against Peaceful Evolution. He kept clear-minded and clearly alerted toward this ideology. The series of strategic hypothesis about Peaceful Evolution has been and will always be the most precious spiritual treasures of the CPC and the Chinese people.
