　　The Institute of Contemporary China Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) was established in 1990.

　　At present, the Institute of Contemporary China Studies consists of 6 research departments, which 10 senior researchers,11 associate researchers and 11 research assistants work in.

　　Contemporary China Publishing House and some other institutions are also under the jurisdiction of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies.
