Hou Weimin is a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, a doctor of economics, a researcher at the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the director of the Research Centre for Marxist Economic and Social Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences;Expert in the Central National Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project;Expert of the National Social Science Foundation Correspondence Review, Expert of the Revision Group of the Key Textbook of the Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project “Principles of Marxism Political Economics”; President of the Chinese Society of Political Economy, and Standing Director of the Chinese Society for the Study of Foreign Economic Doctrines.Main research interests: Marxist political economy, socialist economic theory and practice. Published five academic monographs and three co-authored books, contributed to over ten works, and authored more than 100 scholarly papers in journals such as "Economic Research Journal," "People's Daily," and "Economic Perspectives." Currently leading a major project funded by the National Philosophy and Social Science Foundation and overseeing more than ten initiatives, including significant topics from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Marx Engineering program. |
