Yuan Xiuli graduated from the School of Marxism Studies of Renmin University of China in 2002 with a degree of Doctor of Laws. She once presided over and completed the Youth Project of the National Social Science Fund, “Lenin’s View of Socialism and Its Contemporary Implications,” and the Key Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, “Research on Stalin’s Theory and Practice of Socialist Construction.” She has authored 5 monographs, participated in compiling 4 books as associate editor, and published dozens of articles. She presided over the Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences including “Research on the Distinctive Significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” and “Study of the Development History of Marxism.” She is also in charge of the project “Marxist View of the State,” and has completed the commissioned project “Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin on Anti-corruption.” She has also participated in the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund, “Research on Major Issues of Marxism”; the Major Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, “Collation, Translation and Publication of Marxist Classics”; the Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, “Research on the Integrity of Marxism,” etc. She participated in the organizing and writing of the book Reader of Scientific Outlook on Development (People’s Publishing House, 2006 edition) organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Since 2019, she also worked as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, where she has taught courses such as Selected Classics of Marxism, History of Scientific Socialism, History of the International Communist Movement, Development History of Marxism, An Introduction to Scientific Socialism, and Selected Classics of Lenin to undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral students at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

She is Executive Council Member of the Society for the Study of Lenin’s Thought of the Chinese Society for the History of Marxist Philosophy, Executive Council Member of the Chinese Society for the Study of the Yan’an Spirit, Executive Council Member of the World Socialism Specialized Committee, etc.
