Abstract 

　　Economic globalization has been accompanied by the rise of legal imperialism, in which hegemonic states engage in extraterritorial expansion of their domestic laws, most notably through long-arm jurisdiction. At its core, it is a form of covert institutional colonization that achieves territorial expansion, disguising illegal acts under the veneer of the rule of law. Its primary objective is to facilitate the expansion of capital and the globalization of the capitalist mode of production. In response to this new form of legal imperialism, guided by the concept of a community with a shared future for humankind, China should, on the one hand, recognize its essence and seek corresponding institutional countermeasures at the legal level; on the other hand, China should actively participate in the construction of the international rule of law system to advocate and promote consultation, joint construction and shared benefits, thus strengthening judicial participation and the ability to coordinate the rule of law in the global governance system, as well as accelerating the construction of a legal system for the extraterritorial application of Chinese law.
