Yu Haiqing

  Yu Haiqing, born in February of 1975, is now Vice-President of the Academy of Marxism of the CASS, Executive Vice-Director of World Socialism Research Center, Executive Chief Editor and Director of the editorial office of World Socialism Studies, Researcher and PhD supervisor. She also serves as Director of Department of Foreign Marxism and Director of Research Unit of Western Marxism.

  Her research focuses primarily on world socialism, and foreign left parties, trend of thoughts and movements. Her publications include monographs such as Greek Left Parties and Socialist Movements in Radical Perspective, Changes and Challenges in the Communist Parties of Western Europe, A Study of Participatory Democracy in the Contemporary West, Where Is Capitalism Going?, etc., and translated works such as Radical Left Parties in Europe, Justice Interruptus: Critical Reflections on the “Postsocialist” Condition, One Hundred Years of Socialism: The West European Left in the Twentieth Century. She has also compiled works including Witnessing the Centennial Party Together, Revisiting China's New Era, and so on.

  She has won more than 10 provincial and ministerial awards, and is now presiding over the major project of “Compilation and Study of Foreign Marxist Discourses on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” (No. 21&ZD023) granted by the National Social Science Foundation.
