World Socialism Studies was officially launched as a bimonthly publication on October 1, 2016, and it transitioned into a monthly publication in July 2017. It is attached to Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, directed by Academy of Marxism of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Academic Press, and run by World Socialism Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Li Shenming serves as the chief editor, with Xin Xiangyang, Lin Jianhua and Chen Zhigang as the associate chief editors, and Yu Haiqing as the executive chief editor and director of the editorial department. World Socialism Studies is indexed in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), recognized as a core journal evaluated by the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences, and considered an important source of China Social Science Excellence of Renmin University of China. It is distributed both at home and abroad.
