The Marxist Theory Research and Discipline Construction Yearbook started to be published in 1994 under the title of Yearbook of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, which was changed to the current one in 2010. The editorial office of the Yearbook is administered by the Academy of Marxism and the Academic Division of Marxist Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, while China Social Sciences Press is responsible for its publication and circulation.
