Throughout the century-long history of the Communist Party of China(CPC), from the New Democratic Revolution to the exploration of the socialist construction, from reform and opening up to the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the CPC has consistently served as the core leadership force propelling the nation’s development and modernization.By promoting “parallel-track” development to achieve late developing advantages, transitioning from economic system reform to comprehensive deepening reforms,consolidating cultural foundations through inheriting fine traditional culture, innovating social governance through grassroots Party building, and advancing social revolutions, the CPC has played a pivotal leading role in the nation’s modern transformation.For late-developing countries,the modernization path often depends not on the number of political parties, but on whether the governing party can transcend “partial” interests to safeguard the “holistic” interests during modernization, surpass the pursuit of power to exercise it judiciously, and discard rigid thinking while upholding integrity-based innovation.
