The academic endeavors in the Western Social Sciences circle are part of the enlightment tradition to explore the universal law in human behaviors as well as human societies.Though these explorations have brought forward precious intellectual fruits, they also reflect the Western Centralism and serve to maintain the western dominance in the world system. Therefore, a critical perspective is needed to better understand, evaluate and apply the various achievements of Western Social Sciences.
