Zhang Xiaoping: The Source, Essence and Practical Approach of Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions on Chinese Civilization

Xi Jinping’s important expositions on Chinese civilization can be summarized as including the following aspects: an interpretation of the outstanding characteristics of Chinese civilization, a redefinition of the relationship between Chinese civilization and the excellent parts of traditional Chinese culture, a scientific interpretation of the unique spiritual characteristics and development forms of Chinese civilization, and a stress on promoting the values in the Chinese civilization that are common to all humanity. To implement Xi Jinping’s important expositions on Chinese civilization, we should further carry forward studies of the development history of the Chinese civilization, enhance historical consciousness and strengthen cultural confidence; we should properly inform the world about the Chinese civilization, so that the world could understand China with a trustworthy, lovable and respectable image; we should study and interpret the evolution pattern of the Chinese nation as a diversified unity and foster a firm sense of community of the Chinese nation; and we should strive to build a modern Chinese civilization and play a leading role in a new form of human civilization.
