The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China again emphasized strengthening the political construction of the Party. Focusing on and strengthening the political construction of the Communist Party is an important thought of the founders of Marxism. The Communist Party of China has adhered to and enriched this important thought of the founders of Marxism on focusing on and strengthening the political construction of the Communist Party during the revolution, construction and reform periods. As socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era, the Central Committee of the Communist Party with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has published a series of important expositions and political judgments on “why we should focus on and strengthen political construction of the Party, what is political construction of the Party, and how to advance political construction of the Party”, thus sublimating the thought of the founders of Marxism on focusing on and strengthening political construction of the Communist Party to a new level. We must profoundly grasp General Secretary Xi Jinping’s political judgment on deepening political construction of the Party in the new era, so that the Communist Party of China becomes a strong leading core for comprehensively advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese modernization.
