The Chinese-style modernization has a clear line of evolution in history and a profound historical logic. On the basis of a long exploration and practice since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially since China’s reform and opening up, the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China successfully advanced and extended the Chinese-style modernization. The report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China profoundly interpreted its Chinese characteristics, essential requirements and major principles, thus establishing a preliminary theoretical system of Chinese-style modernization. Its Chinese characteristics profoundly reveal its scientific contents, and its essential requirements and major principles specify the requirements for practice. To fully display its historical evolution, deeply understand its scientific contents and systematically grasp its practical requirements is of great significance to advancing and extending the Chinese-style modernization.
