The term “affinity”originated in the field of chemistry, and later was applied to social life and became an important theoretical concept. Affinity is a kind of strength to make things, especially people, get close to each other, with the characteristics of being bidirectional and relative selectivity, etc. The current issue of the affinity of Marxism is not only based on the need of China’s ideological and theoretical education, but also the result of in-depth inquiry into the affinity of ideological and political education and teaching in school. The affinity of Marxism is manifested both at the level of all humanity and the level of the proletariat and the masses. To further manifest the affinity of Marxism in the new era, it is necessary to promote the sinicization of Marxism and enhance the affinity of Marxism to Chinese people; to promote the modernization of Marxism and enhance the affinity of Marxism to contemporary people; to promote the popularization of Marxism and enhance the affinity of Marxism to the general public. In Marxist theory education, especially in ideological and political education and teaching, we should pay attention to the diverse presentation of affinity, focus on affinity and not only on affinity, and fully demonstrate the theoretical charm of Marxism.
